In a pandemic, check out what is needed before packing your bags.
In the pandemic of the new coronavirus, traveling abroad requires special care and specific authorizations for crossing borders. Just as Brazil closed its borders temporarily to avoid increased contagion, countries all over the world also present their demands for receiving tourists. For those who want or need to visit other countries, the data is optimistic: presently, 37 countries (5 more compared to last month) already welcome Brazilian travelers, so long as they follow the rules established by the local Sanitation organs.
Besides presenting a negative test for Covid-19, there are different determinations for the debarkation of passengers from Brazil, such as quarantine, filling in health certificates and presenting proof of lodging, among other criteria. Among the main destinations, in the United Kingdom and in Ireland, Brazilian tourists must comply with a strict quarantine of 14 days, beginning at debarkation. It is only after this period that Brazilians are allowed in the streets. Croatia demands the filling in of a form with medical information, with questions about possible contact with infected people – in the last 14 days – and information about possible symptoms. Furthermore, this East European country requires proof of reserved lodging. In Mexico, the only difference from Croatia is that they do not demand proof of reservations, but Brazilians must fill in a document about exposition to the virus and state of health.
Another important vacation destination for Brazilians, the Dominican Republic is more rigorous: they demand a negative PCR test on arrival – tourists can also take the test free at the airport – besides filling in a declaration of health and having their temperature taken. In the United Arab Emirates Brazilians must presente tests taken in up to 96 hours before the flight.
