A serious health crisis installed itself worldwide at the beginning of 2020. It’s the coronavirus, amply known by the scientific community, but in its mutation as COVID-19, which presents high rates of transmission, and has been causing serious problems in several countries.
Unfortunately, as yet, there are no drugs proven to be efficient against this mutation of the virus. In this scenario, all the population can do is to remain at home, going as seldom as possible to collective ambiances, as was widely informed by public authorities and by the media.
However, there are professions that cannot stop. Their services are considered essential and cannot be executed in a home office, as so many people have been doing all over the world. That is the case, for instance, of transportation services, among which is included the service of transporting personal goods – the moving service. We have commitments to clients, who trust FINK to honor them. And that is what we always do.
How, then, do we comply with the safety standards in order to face this difficult moment without losing our professionalism and quality of service? There are some actions that FINK has implemented and follows seriously at this time. Among the many measures adopted, you can check below some of the main ones.
In the first place, the major way of preventing COVID-19 is, for sure, the reduction of social contact during this period. With fewer people meeting daily, the tendency is that the number of contagions will decrease in time. This would ensure fewer serious cases, and, consequently, less demand on health services. Therefore, we have adapted the highest number possible of collaborators to the home office model, when we work cooperatively at home.
Also to avoid agglomerations, FINK has afforded private transportation for its operational collaborators that must go to the clients’ homes to pack or deliver their personal possessions, in order to avoid the use of public transportation, normally overcrowded, at this moment. It is also a way of avoiding the risks of contamination.
We also consider hygiene and protection as pillars in coping with this crisis. Our collaborators are trained daily in the practice of hygiene, oriented by specialists, and are given by FINK everything they need for that at every moment of service. Thus, we reduce the risk of their being infected and of infecting others, and we collaborate with society as a whole. Furthermore, the special daily cleaning of our installations offers a healthy venue to our few collaborators that still must remain there so we are able to honor our commitments in our activity, which is considered essential.
Our main objective is to keep healthy our teams, our clients, and everyone who crosses our path, continuing our daily work amidst the contingency we are now facing. These are the most effective measures for guaranteeing our collaborators’ and our clients’ health throughout the duration of the pandemic.
