FINK is an institution that is concerned with the reflex of its actions in society. Therefore, we always practice actions that transform the space around us – both physical and social – in search of a more just, sustainable and egalitarian society.
Due to this concern for the cultural formation of the new generations, FINK has created an initiative for taking music lessons to hundreds of children in Rio de Janeiro.
The “Escola de Música e Cidadania” (School of Music and Citizenship), a project supported by FINK, took courses in musical theory and the practice of several instruments to 250 needy students in Rio’s primary schools. The aim was to present, in a playful and fun way, the fantastic world of art production.
Learning about musical theory is liberating. Music, as well as all the arts, allows people to express themselves, and to portray uniquely the truth of their time.
