Also for those who like history, another must-see is the Rio Negro Palace, headquarters of the Amazonian government for more than eighty years. Its construction took almost a decade, and was officially inaugurated in 1911, being the seat of the executive power of the state until the year 1995. Since then, the building has become a museum and cultural center, with the purpose of preserving and sharing the most important period in the history of Manaus.

It is always important to remember, however, that the presence of the guide is essential – the Amazon rainforest is highly dense and difficult to access, and the presence of a trained and experienced professional is vital to make your adventure safe.
