Find out what are the requirements for the entry of tourists.
While some countries are in the so-called second wave of the new coronavirus pandemic, as in Europe, other countries around the world have not yet emerged from the first or even already have relative control of the incidence of covid-19 cases. With this, the updating of lists that allow, or not, the entry of foreigners is being reviewed, practically, every month. With the arrival of the recess period and even holidays between Christmas and January, we list the nations that allow tourists to enter, those that have imposed restrictions on travelers and those that have completely closed their borders.
Thinking of December, following the latest lists released by the main destinations for Brazilians, 8 countries currently have slight restrictions on the entry of Brazilians. In early December, the United Kingdom opened its borders to international visitors. To enter, foreigners must complete the “Public Health Passenger Location Form” and stay in quarantine for 14 days from their arrival in the country. In Spain, the visitor must present negative PCR (done 72 hours before arrival), in addition to a medical certificate. Still in Europe, borders are open in Albania, Serbia and North Macedonia, countries that do not require medical examinations or even quarantine for those arriving.
In America, Mexico only requires filling out a questionnaire to identify possible “Risk Factors in Travelers”, while Haiti requires tourists to undergo medical examinations and to fill in a “Health Declaration Form”. In Cuba, in addition to presenting a printed medical declaration that the person is not infected, the tourist takes the PCR test upon arrival and needs to be isolated until the result comes out (about 24 hours). In Chile and Argentina, Brazilians need health insurance to cover expenses related to covid-19, as well as presenting a negative medical certificate (issued, at the latest, 72 hours before arriving in the country) and must complete the Sworn Declaration of Entry into National National. On the border between the Old Continent and Asia, Turkey requires only a simple medical screening to identify possible Covid-19 symptoms. In Afghanistan, for example, Brazilians can enter without medical exams since June.
Now thinking about Africa, tourists find it easier to visit countries like Morocco, where Brazilians can enter without a visa, the requirements are: confirmed hotel reservation or invitation from a Moroccan company, in addition to the presentation of a C- blood protein test reactive (PCR), done 48h before departure, and filling in a printed health form. In South Africa, the traveler must also present a PCR type test with a negative result (maximum 72 hours before departure).
* Restrictions and releases in relation to the entry of foreigners in the countries mentioned in the article may change according to the incidence of new cases of Covid-19. Always look for updated information.
