The Pyro Paisage, a project idealized by the Brazilian architecture firm Vazio S/A, debuted officially at the Chaumont-sur -Loire International Garden Festival in France. In February of this year we published on this blog a piece about the planning and execution of this work, which was transported internationally with great success by FINK.
The official opening of the event, scheduled for March, was re-scheduled, due to the new coronavirus pandemic, for the end of May. All the material for the exposition arrived in France in February, meeting the deadline and the expectations of the organizers.
The Chaumont-sur-Loire International Garden Festival in Paris is considered one of the world’s major events in contemporary landscape production. Annually, numerous names in the field, from all over the planet, enroll to exhibit their projects there, contributing to the discussion of this Market and gaining visibility in such an important event.
The Pyro Paisage Project deals with a unique vision of one of Brazil’s main biomes: the cerrado. Exploring the adaptive aspect of its flora, which created conditions for survival in an arid environment, with constant fires in drought months, the central concept of this work aims at exposing a Brazilian natural treasure that has been hidden from the rest of the world. The tropical savanna, as this ecosystem is also known, is very rich in dimensions, wildlife and culture.
The role of informing, educating and analyzing the world through art is one of the great ways in which we progress as a society, by pointing out problems, exalting beauty, and probing deeply. FINK is a partner in artistic projects, and will always be available, with its intelligence and support, to help in the logistical viability of works such as this.
